Anything to make you smile.

March 5, 2010

Heyoooo. I’m staying in Price this weekend, which I am sure I haven’t cone in almost two months. It should be interesting. But next weekend when I go home it will be for a week, because of SPRING BREAK BABAY!!!!!

This week has flown by. I can’t believe it’s already over (not to say that I miss it or anything). The last couple of days have been interesting, and a lot has righted itself, and I’m feeling really good heading into the weekend.

This afternoon I went and saw a house that Kellie, Shayla, Devin and I are hoping to move into at the end of the school year. It’s tiny, the basement is unfinished and kind of scary, and one of the bedrooms doesn’t have a real door (just a closet door), and there’s an inhabitant that we’ll want to get rid of upon moving in, but otherwise it’s really cute. And cheap. So, that’s a plus.

Not much else to talk about, I’ll update you about all of my riotous activities at the end of the weekend. Have fun and be safe!

Is it too late to tell you that I don’t mind?

February 25, 2010

This week has been the longest/shortest week of my life. Seriously.

Every day feels like it is just creeping by, but I actually can’t believe that it’s already Thursday! I get to go home tomorrow! I’ll probably end up doing the usual; hanging out with Marlyse on Friday and Zach on Saturday. I also have three papers I need to work on, and a math test to study for Oi vey!

I only worked out twice this week, and I think it’s contributing to my melancholy demeanor. I always feel better when I work out every day, but this week has been so hectic.

Last night, or I guess I should say this morning, the fire alarm in our building went off at like, 1:15. It was seriously terrible. I am so tired, because I could NOT fall back asleep. My roommates and I exchanged some expletives and ideas about how to exact revenge on the puller of said fire alarm while we were sitting in Kellie’s car.

My elbows are really warm. It’s weird.

My roommate’s boyfriend has taken to sleeping on our couch from about seven in the morning to around two or three in the afternoon, and none of us are very happy about it. So I’m going to write it on here and be passive aggressive about it. TAKE THAT.

Saturday.

February 21, 2010

I came home this morning, and I’m soooooo happy that I did.

Hannah and I braved the snowy canyon this morning around 7:15, and made it unscathed back to Orem. I hung around  my house until about 1:00, when Zach came and picked me up, and we went to lunch, watched a CRAZY movie called Lo, and went to Starbucks. Yeah. I like Starbucks now, so what? It was a lovely afternoon.

Just barely I had a meeting with Kayla and Marlyse. We’re all getting old and lame, so we ended early, but we did get to see Scully and Mulder kiss, so it was all worth it. They’re meant for each other, I just know it!

I’m totally going to sleep in tomorrow. Sleep has become such a commodity for me, it’s kind of ridiculous. I love it so much, and I think about it more than I probably should. I’m excited to sleep in tomorrow and enjoy some extra hours of snoozing it up. My bed here at home is so comfy and nice.

I revised my list of top twenty movies, and it is now as follows:

1.There Will Be Blood
2.The Royal Tenenbaums
3.Last Of The Mohicans
4.No Country For Old Men
5.Tommy Boy
6.American Gangster
7.Room With A View
8.Fight Club
9.The Big Lebowski
10.The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou
11.Pulp Fiction
12.King Of California
13.Kill Bill II
14.Gangs Of New York
15.Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas
16.28 Days Later
17.American History X
18.Love Actually
19.Brick
20.Reservoir Dogs

If you haven’t seen any of these, watch them, and then get back to me.

Goodnight guys.

KAYLA AND MARLYSE ARE COMING TODAY I CAN’T WAIT AAAAAHHH

February 18, 2010

I am very excited, because Kayla and Marlyse are coming to Price today! I am so so so excited to see them. AND I get to go to a basketball game tomorrow, AND I get to go home on Saturday AAAAANNNNNDDD we’re having a fan club meeting on Saturday night!!!!! I am just so excited for this weekend. I just wanted to tell you all that.

Tuesday is a special day.

February 17, 2010

Hey guys. Hey hey hey. What is up y’all?

I’m sort of sad to be back at school. If you were my roommate Kellie you would know this, as I almost lost my cool this morning when I couldn’t find my left sneaker to wear working out. It’s a good thing she’s responsible and not CRAZY, because she rectified the situation and got me to the gym. After my workout I felt much better. I did some running and pumped some iron, and now am sufficiently sore, but feeling alright.

My side of the room is kind of a disaster, like my brain, but I’m going to right that as well, and clean them up (brain and bedroom) because KAYLA AND MARLYSE ARE COMING TO VISIT ME THIS WEEKEND OOOOOOH MYYYY GOOOOOOSH. I’m excited, if you can’t tell. I haven’t seen Kayla in almost seven weeks, and I always miss Marlyse, even when I get to see her on the weekends. I’m so unbelievably excited.

This weekend I got to go to the Bean museum with Zach, which I haven’t done in a loooooong time. I had so much fun though. After the museum he took me out to lunch and then we watched a movie and I wailed on him on the Wii. To be fair, he DID beat me in the Hoop Shoot game, but it was basically a game of chance. Whatever.

I spent Valentine’s Day with Marlyse and Felicity, and it was a lot of fun. A nice quiet day or watching movies and gorging ourselves. Mmmmmmmm. Just the way such a holiday should be spent.

Monday night, before I came back to Price, America, I went over to Zach’s mom’s house, we met up with Brad and Marlyse, and we watched Dr. Horrible’s Sing Along Blog-SO funny. If you get the chance to watch it you definitely should. Then Zach and I played some more Wii, and he settled the score by embarrassing me at tennis. Don’t worry though, I bowled a beautiful game and beat him by fifty points.

And now, I am here. Back here. Uuuuuuuuugh. Today hasn’t been all bad, but I’m definitely excited for this weekend.

Freakin’ Weekend

February 12, 2010

It is the weekend, FINALLY. It seems like the last weekend I had was forever ago.

The improv show last night was so so funny. I love the improv guys. So, there’s that.

I’m having band practice with Marlyse tonight and I can’t wait. I miss her a lot. Tomorrow I think I’m going to The Bean Museum. I love that museum, it sort of makes me wish I was going into ornithology. Oh man, remember that episode of The Big Bang Theory where Sheldon and Wallowitz went to visit that entomologist, and he was talking about his wife cheating on him, and he’s like, “while my wife was shacking up with some two-bit ornithologist who lives on a boat, and like to wear boot cut jeans!” Yeah, that was a good one.

I got a 100 on my Brit Lit test. BOOM. That means I got every question on the in class portion right, and I got an A on the out of class essay. I am the bomb. I have a math review today, and a test on Wednesday. I’m excited to take it because this unit had been a real snooze-fest.

I am awake right now. It’s 7:46 in the am. Do you see what’s wrong with this picture? Well, I DID go to bed at 10:30 last night. Whaaaaaa?! I know, right? I love sleep, and lately I just want to do it all the time. So I go to bed earlier and earlier.

Later.

Monday Morning, Wake Up Knowing That You’ve Got to Go to School.

February 8, 2010

Oh man. I woke up just feeling like this week is going to be forever long. I had such a fun weekend, I didn’t really want to come back to Price.

Friday night I watched No Country For Old Men with my friend Zach. If you haven’t seen that movie, just do it, because I don’t want to talk to you until you have. Seriously.  After that we went to dinner with our friends Brad and Marlyse and watched Wayne’s World at Brad’s house. I love that movie so much. It’s just so good.

Saturday I did laundry (WOOOOOOOOOOO) and went to my brother’s battle of the bands (we was robbed). He played pretty well, and the audience loved his band. I thought they were good, and probably deserved like, second place. But instead this awful band won it; one of those bands you just don’t like from looking at them. You get the point. Anyway, after BotB, I went to see Fantastic Mr. Fox with Zach, and it was really really good. It had a real Wes Anderson look about it, and it was really funny. It was just wonderful. It was interesting to see Mr.Anderson do clay-mation. Zach told me on the way home that Wes Anderson is a really hard director to work with, because he has to have everything done perfectly his way. It’s good, I think, but probably not super fun for the actors and stuff. Except that they’re WORKING WITH WES ANDERSON.

Sunday we helped my Grandma move to her new house, and then I mostly just watched movies on my laptop and waited for the Superbowl to be over so I could come back to school. We got back pretty late. But I managed to watch Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist before I went to bed. “I love you so much it’s retarded.” HA! I guess I wouldn’t mind having Seth Meyers making out in my back seat as long as he was cracking one liners like that.

Next weekend I’m going to a concert! Um. . .yes? Heh. I feel like such an old person these days, because I don’t go to concerts unless it’s someone I really want to see. I used to just go for the hell of it, but now I’m like, “Do I want to use the gas? I really can’t afford six bucks to get it. Ugh, why are there so many people here? I’ll just stand in the back.” Twelfth grade self would kick me in the rump right now! I’m just more interested in not spending money and reading. I love reading. Or, alternatively, I love to learn, I love to learn, I love to learn, I LOVE TO LEARN. Hip Hop Harry. You don’t even, oh man, you don’t even get it, do you?

Next weekend is a long weekend, and I’m so stoked. Just like, out my brain.

Feet on the Ground. Head in the Sky.

February 5, 2010

I love the Talking Heads. This Must Be The Place is definitely one of my favorite songs. It makes me want to laugh and cry simultaneously. It’s so romantic, and so devastating, and so wonderful.

I’m going home tomorrow! I miss my family, and I’m excited to see my baby brother play in battle of the bands. Woooo! Yeaaaahh!

Everyday this week, I have done a KILLER workout, and I love it. Like, weight machines and cardio and stuff, it’s pretty insane. You better believe my arms are killing me. But it’s all good, it’s not like I use them that much anyway. Oh wait. . .

I’m writing a story that I’m hoping to get published in my school’s literary journal this year. I think it would be pretty bomb to be published at eighteen, my first year of college. Then OSU and NYU would basically not have a choice but to let me in.

I saw my school’s play tonight! My friends Henry and Devin were in it, and rocked it out,  and it was just a lot of fun to see. I like college school plays much better than High School ones, they aren’t subject to so many rules and stuff. They had some really funny parts in this play that definitely wouldn’t have worked in a High School theater setting.

More later. Love you guys!

Five Weeks. One Post.

February 3, 2010

Heyooooo.

Okay, well, my mama’s getting SO mad at me because I never write in my blog. I’ll try to do it more, but I have so much going on.

I started working out on Saturday, and I love it. Just like, an hour a day. It’s so awesome, I feel great, even just after three days! I’m also cutting soda out of my diet, and drinking this really killer egg nog my brother makes with lighter fluid. . .wait. . .no. It’s lemonade. Whatever. The only down side I have found so far to working out is that I was running upstairs today, and when you’re up there you can see down into the raquetball courts, and I saw my writing teacher down there. Creepy. He looked up and I tried to duck out of sight but I think he saw me. Weeeeeeeeeeird. I have sweet new headphones. I looooove them.

My English classes are the shizzzy. I love them so much. Just the other day I totally kicked a test’s butt in Brit. Lit.

My baby brother won battle of the band last week, and his band is playing in regionals this weekend! I’m going home for it, and I’m really excited. I’m also hanging out with my friend Zach on Friday. Woooooh.

I’m going to watch a movie with Kellie and work on a hat I’ve been putting off. More later. Looooove.

It’s only Wednesday?

January 20, 2010

Last night I watched Last of the Mohicans. It was SO GOOD. I think it is my favorite Danie Day-Lewis movie. I am going to watch There Will Be Blood and Gangs Of New York this week though, just to be sure. He is so HOT in Last of the Mohicans, it kills me. He has long hair, and he’s like, running and jumping all over the place. And every time he had a monologue I wanted to cry or something! It was just really great.

The bad news is, I got home and could not fall asleep to save my life. So I laid in bed until about 6:00 a.m. and finally fell asleep, only to be awoken by my alarm three hours later. Awesome. Today should be just dandy.

Today I have math, writing, and Brit lit. Tonight I’m going to be doing a lot of reading, and I’m going to try to squeeze an episode of Dexter in there. Oh, also, I’m going to work on a list of my 50 favorite movies. Henry has one, and he’s always asking me if a movie is “top twenty status” or “top fifty status”, so I feel like I should be able to say yes or now. I’ll show that to you guys when I’m finished with it.
